Born and raised in Japan, I studied my second degree in Australia. I worked as a senior research technologist for years at a research institute. Was good at what I was doing because I am technical and analytical.
When I could not find a simple sweater, I decided to make it myself even though my knitting skill was almost nothing. I was glued to the computer and found a simple top down seamless sweater pattern. I excitedly managed to finish the sweater, followed by a cardigan, then a pullover...
As my confidence (or cockiness?) grew bigger and bigger, I started designing on my own. I enjoy seamless knitting, and always exploring a new construction. My knitting technique has been replaced for a research technique, and I could not be happier ever since. I cannot think of my life without knitting. Knit to live, or live to knit?
