Finished Knittin': Child's Road to Rhinebeck

Andrea Sanchez

Well this one has long since been "finished knittin'". I had this little cutie all done WAY back at the beginning of November. My plan had been to finish it for our family holiday photos mid-November (which I ended up having to cancel due to sick kids, schedules, etc) so it didn't really matter. But whatever. It's done! And finally available for sale

This cozy cardigan is knit flat and features the same back cable panel as the adult version (find that here). There are a few differences though. The kid's version has less cable detailing, just to make it a bit simpler and a little more unisex. I really like the collar treatment on the adult version, but again was making this for boys and girls so I opted for a ribbed shawl collar. Which I totally love!

The child's version is also knit with the same yarn as the adult, Magpie Fibers Domestic Worsted. I have fallen in love with this tightly spun, multi-ply 100% wool yarn. It is fantastic for cables! They seem to just jump right off the fabric. It's also great on yardage at 200 yards in a skein.

I hope you enjoy this one just as much as I did knitting it! You can find this cardigan in my Ravelry store, or click the link below to purchase your own copy.
