Grove Pullover is a bottom up raglan pullover (one of my favorite ways to knit sweaters!) that features a zippered placket, high collar, and leather elbow and shoulder patches! Not to mention the moss stitch that gives this simple shape so much texture and interest.
Please do not be intimidated by the finishing in this pattern! Kate is a master of thorough explanations, and even provides a link in the pattern to tutorials on her site which include a template for the elbow patches.
This sweater was knit in Dream in Color Classy. Classy is one of those hardwearing yarns, perfect for children's knits. It is dyed in a wide array of beautiful and vibrant colors. Even better, it comes in large 250 yard skeins so you will get a lot of mileage out of that yarn.
Grove Pullover makes me picture little boys running out in apple orchards or playing in the leaves. It is the perfect fall pullover for your little, and with 6 sizes to choose from you can knit one for the next few years too!
