Last weekend I wrapped up the knitting and blocking of D's 2015 Christmas Sweater. While I think it turned out just amazing, the only shot of it I got was this:
D is now at an age where he is more than willing to wear things I make for him when he wants to wear them. When I want him to wear them and I call him over with a "honey, come try this on so I can see how it looks" his response has been, "just hold it up to me." Really?
The yarn I used for this sweater was YOTH Yarns Big Sister in Cacao. I knit about a size 4 (25" finished chest circumference) and used less than 3 skeins of yarn (about 640 yards) on a size 5 needle. I am SO in love with how this turned out. The yarn is just amazing! It is so buttery soft that I'm really thinking I might need to make another sweater out of it, this time for me!
Since last week I cast on and off (I know!!) for another sweater for D. I can't share the shots quite yet but I can tell you that this one is an upcoming design from one of our fall designers, Annie Rowden for her and Ashley Yousling's Little Woolens line. I can also tell you this one, in classic Annie style is simple and wearable, while at the same time full of personality. I can't wait until she releases it and I can share with you!
By the way, head over to Instagram this morning for a chance to win some beautiful stitch markers by Susan of Bead Different Designs. This is an Instagram only contest so make sure you are following us over there and check out the post to enter.
