In the midst of all the new collection launch last month, I have a little pattern update that got swept aside. Little Mesa (originally published on Petite Purls under a different name) has been re-tech edited (nothing was wrong! Just in case) with an additional size added, put into a new layout, and is now available for sale here and on Ravelry.
Little Mesa is knit in Spud and Chloe Sweater. This yarn has to be one of my favorite choices for kid's knits. The original was done in Chocolate Milk (MC) and Ice Cream (CC), but I had a second version done that we never got to photograph done in Rainstorm (MC) and Beluga (CC). This one fit D so briefly that buttons were never even added! However, he did wear it to Rhinebeck, which makes it an official sweater, right?
This pattern is now available in sizes 6 months to 8. Keep in mind that Fair Isle in this yarn is not going to have much give so choose a size that will give your wearer 2-4" of positive ease in the chest. You can always make adjustments to sleeve or body length as needed.
There is a grown up version that I'm reworking and putting into layout as well so keep an eye out for that too!
